It’s been awhile since I blogged, and I have SO many to catch up on, but I thought I would start with this beautiful session of the Bennett family and the addition of their gorgeous 5th miracle baby, Ruby.  This family went through infertility struggles for a long time but had faith that God would bring them their babies.  And then they had two sets of twins and now a new baby girl.  And even though 5 kids might sound like a lot, Amy and Jason handle it so amazingly and they make it obvious that they were always intended to have these babies.  What I love about capturing this family, is that they have a real spirit of fun together.  The kids have such energy, imaginations and joy which lets you know that their mom and dad create a very loving and magical atmosphere for them to grow up in.  In these photos, you get a real feel for what it’s like to be a Bennett – which is a pretty amazing thing!

Isn’t this family just so beautiful? The Shaffer’s traveled a good distance for me to capture their photos, and I was SO honored!!  They are such lovely, warm-hearted, joyful people who absolutely adore their gorgeous baby girl.  When I look through these photos I can actually feel how deeply they love one another.  My goal with every family or couple that I capture is for them to be able to remember an emotion by looking at a photo.

  • amanda - LINDS! this may be my favorite shoot of all time by you! everything about it is beautiful…I mean, these people are beautiful, so of course that helps, but SERIOUSLY! the color, the composition, the emotion…all of it is stunning.ReplyCancel

I’ve had the pleasure many times to capture the beautiful and super-fun Porter family.  This time was extra special as it was on the land of their new home that they’ve been dreaming about for quite sometime.  As you can obviously see, it’s incredibly magical and will be heaven to look out the back porch and see so much of this goodness and beauty.  And what fun it will be for their son, Dylan, to grow up fishing, riding, and adventuring all through this amazing place.  This family has always been special, as they truly care about getting the emotion in the photos – and they have lots of it :)

I’ve never had the pleasure of photographing an elopement before, but I’m pretty sure I will be forever spoiled by this one!  Tracy and Bill were married on the most lovely fall night at Starlite Farm in Hartsville, Tennessee – the gorgeous home of the incredible Strawberry Patch Barn Sale that Tracy co-hosts with her best friend, Christy.  And speaking of Christy, she did a stunning set-up that combined with the natural beauty of the farm – was drool-worthy. I’m absolutely in love with this wedding.  It’s so perfect and I wish I could go back to this night and just enjoy the land and all the love!  I’m so happy for them!

Engagement sessions make me really happy.  And this one was no exception!  Ashley and Andrew had such a romantic and real connection with each other that made photographing them so easy and relaxing!  Not only do they look beautiful, but they really put each other at such ease and really knew how to make one another smile :)  These two lovebirds are getting married at Mint Springs Farm in Nolensville, TN next year and I absolutely can’t wait to shoot their amazing day!!  They have been together for a really long time and that will make the celebration that day all the more special – PLUS Ashley has all kinds of gorgeous ideas for what they are going to do and I’m super excited to see it all come together!!  The engagement session was also at Mint Springs and between the perfect setting and the STUNNING looks they chose, these photos are some of my favorite!  Enjoy :)
